Lectors are an essential and important part of any liturgy. Lectors proclaim the Word at Mass, lead the prayer of the faithful and make necessary announcements at the Mass. They also proclaim the word during various special liturgies throughout the liturgical year. Training and enrichment sessions are required on a regular basis.
